Securities Services business is a part of the Corporate Bank division in Deutsche Bank. The business in APAC is serviced out of 12 locations.
This role is based in Manila, Philippines where we are looking for a dynamic and aspirational individual keen to make a career in the securities services business with an experience in the Philippines market. The role is in the Relationship & Transaction Management (RTM) team of Corporate Bank. This is a client facing servicing role and the individual should be able to manage both domestic as well as off-shore/cross border clients in Custody & Fund Services
Your key responsibilities
Lead and manage as the Country Lead of Trade Finance Advisory and Service’s farming, execution, client service client management for all Trade Finance & Lending (TF&L) clients.
Drive and shape TF&L farming strategy across existing TF&L clients bases as well as assuming responsibility for Indonesia TF&L assets and revenue through farming activities
Acts as advisor for trade finance & lending products to clients
Deepen relationship with clients
Provide support to clients on all day-to-day, service-related queries applying the highest standards; Work closely with, but not limited to, onshore teams like Coverage, Sales, Product Managers and Operations to promote Corporate Bank and resolve roadblocks that hinder closure of deals with thorough understanding of policies and compliance guidelines
Liaise with overseas teams to ensure globally / regionally consistent high standards in service solutions for clients
Working knowledge on KYC/ Client Onboarding processes/ requirements
Coordinate and align closely with offshore Implementation Team
Have knowledge on electronic banking platforms and self-service apps
Escalate issues to onshore teams in timely manner to manage client expectation & relationship as well as issues with respective L2 / L3 support teams if needed
Work closely with onshore teams on E2E procedures and processes
Prepare and provide MIS reports, internally / externally
Contribute to Continuous Improvement activities leading to operational efficiencies
Establish new relationships with targeted MNCs by tying in their banking requirements with DB’s various product offerings. Similarly, ensure that both existing and prospective clients are fully updated on product trends and regulatory changes affecting Cash Management, Trade Finance as well Fixed Income and Currencies. Identify product gaps and communicate to the regional Product management.
Strengthen the relationship with the Regional/Global Relationship Managers, and engage with their clients’ regional/global headquarters with product and regulatory updates. Execute regional initiatives, directions and targets for Relationship and Transaction Management (RTM) in the local market.
Work with global and local Credit Risk Management teams for the maintenance and setup of existing/new credit facilities.
Support the Country RTM Head in setting a vision for long term organizational success at country level and help implement the strategic plans.
Ensure alignment of our client portfolio with current regulatory and compliance requirements, and timely escalation of significant financial or non-financial risk matters.
Your skills and experience
With at least 10 years of relevant experience. Must have sales background and detailed knowledge of Trade finance and lending products
Well familiar in trade finance business and landscape in Indonesia
Has experience in leading and managing a team
Proven excellent customer relationship skills
Articulate and fluent in English both in oral and writing
Ability to negotiate and influence others to gain support and achieve a common goal
Professional degree or MBA holder
Demonstrated leadership ability
Possesses Credit risk management / analysis experience
Has the ability to negotiate and influence others to gain support and achieve a common goal
Has detailed knowledge of Corporate Finance and Transaction Banking products/solutions
Has strong client relationship, marketing presentation and sales skills, thus with excellent verbal and written communication skills
