ING is looking for a full-stack software engineer with hands-on software development experience, fundamental knowledge on software architecture and genuine curiosity.

The team

As a full stack software engineer, you'll work in an international environment in small, multi-skilled autonomous teams with end-to-end responsibility. Together with business colleagues, UX designers, visual designers, product owners you build our next generation banking apps in the Assisted Channels tribe.

As a highly motivated engineer who likes to work in a multidisciplinary team of engineers and business colleagues. Next to your work in the squad, you also like to develop yourself in the engineering field, these learnings contribute to the mastery of other engineers in your team and improve the way of work within ING.

How to succeed

You are a senior full-stack engineer experienced in both back-end and front-end development. With in-depth experience with JVM Platform and one or more JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala..), Cloud platforms, JavaScript, LIT-element and have a solid understanding of Web Components concepts. You have knowledge of, and experience with, the latest JVM & JavaScript versions and technology with litHTML and litElement. 

You have great analytical skills and conceptual understanding. You are able to quickly understand new technical concepts and technology and you have a strong interest in, and vision of, the latest trends in software development and technology. You have experience with giving presentations and workshops, and in general, have strong communication skills that enable you to explain complex technical concepts to non-engineers. Your English in speaking and writing is fluent and you are a team player who likes to join the social events of the squad and ING organization.

• 6-8 years of software engineering experience combining front-end and back-end expertise, with backend expertise primarily on JVM platform
• Excellent command of one or more JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala, Clojure..)
• Knowledge of Spring framework
• Deep understanding of security standards
• Extensive experience in developing Front end applications with JavaScript (ES5/ES6), HTML, and CSS. 
• Strong skills working in a full-stack environment with REST API with both software development skills and experience in design and development of secure and high-performance applications.
• Having good experience in web testing stack - Karma, Chai, Sinon, Jasmine.
• Familiar with modern Continuous Integration tools/platforms
• Experience in Front-end design patterns and architecture.
• Experience in Agile / Scrum.
