What’s it all about?

Visa Europe is seeking a People Advisor based in Rotterdam, Netherlands to provide generalist and specialist HR advice and guidance to our people. This role will work directly with colleagues across Visa in the UK and will also partner with People Partners to address client HR needs. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual who is passionate about delivering a great employee experience and who wants to continue to develop their career in HR.

What we expect of you, day to day.

  • Provide a high quality day-to-day HR advice to employees within Central Europe with a focus on our Amsterdam and Rotterdam location  

  • Build good work relationships with local line managers and their respective People Business Partners in order to better understand their needs and provide appropriate HR related support.

  • Responding to tickets via a case management system and work closely with the People Partners to support client group needs. Respond to requests in a timely manner, ensuring the correct information is provided in line with employment legislation

  • Independently manage general HR advisory matters, particularly relating to policy advice and guidance. Manage all generalist components of the HR lifecycle with particular focus on  flexible working, change management support and data analysis

  • Work with the People Partner and CoE teams to provide support in areas such as Performance Management, HR Analytics and Employee Relations

  • Manage HR project work that continues to drive continuous improvement and process improvement. Build strong partnerships with the global shared services team and represent the European perspective and requirements in these discussions

  • Opportunity to be an active member of People team functional projects as well as continuous improvement initiatives

  • Payroll Coordination: accurately prepare and submit monthly payroll inputs to the Payroll team, ensuring timely and precise processing of employee compensation. 

  • Sick Leave Management: oversee and manage both short-term and long-term sick leave cases in compliance with the Gatekeepers Act

  • Work with Immigration team for Immigration related queries

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

•Relevant experience of providing policy guidance and coaching to managers and colleagues across a large matrixed growth organisation •Proven ability to apply judgment to interact with all levels of an organisation, make sound recommendations and decisions •Display high levels of integrity and accountability, and have a passion for creating an optimal employee experience •Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal •Demonstrated employment law knowledge and prior exposure to HR working practices, in particular within the Dutch market •Team player with customer mindset and strong interpersonal skills •Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel with application of data analysis techniques •Project management and / or process improvement experience is beneficial •Fluency in Dutch and English language
