Functional Validation team is specifically chartered to perform post silicon validation on Intel's next generation platform including CPUs, chipsets and board using custom-designed hardware and software.
Our goal is to ensure that Intel meets the challenge of producing high quality; reliability products for server, workstation, desktop and mobile market segments. Our responsibilities include:
Lead and perform debug test to identify failures in platform which may include CPU, chipset, board level and others
Lead and perform hands-on debug on platform debug and deep IP debug by root causing failures and identifying failing components, which may include CPU, chipset, board level and others
Developing validation/ test suites and driving continuous improvement into existing validation test suites and methodologies.
Designing and developing validation tools to support latest validation technologies and methodologies including validation automation, BIOS, platform driver, debug tool and others
10+ years of relevant validation/design/debug experiences preferred
Knowledge of SoC platform architectures/PC architecture and hardware setup including debug experiences required
Strong debugging skills on replicating issue and deep dive into root causing
Experience with validating Debug features like Traces, Cross trigger, VISA, Scan in Pre-Silicon or Post-Silicon environment
Experience with hardware lab with test equipment, Debuggers (Lauterbach), Logic analyser, Protocol exercisers or test stations.
Highly proficient in developing script/flow
Familiar with content automation and debug automation, including hands-on in developing the automation methodology.
Able to do light scripting/programming
Able to influence and convince stakeholders when presenting on new methodology
Interest in finding out how things work and how to break it.
