Functional (job responsibilities)
- Work closely with Head of RWM Bancassurance and stakeholders to identify key business growth areas, continuous process improvements, monitor campaign expenses tracking, persistency ration tracking with the aim to drive the Banca business to new heights while adhering to regulatory guidelines with proper code of conduct
- End-to-end development and management of Bancassurance products
- Collaborating with insurance partners to manage Bancassurance product range for the various customer segments through on-going business review and business analytics
- Managing IT projects according to strategic priorities including product developments and address end-to-end customer journey
- Working with insurance partners / stakeholders to plan and effectively execute strategic product initiatives to acquire and expand of Bancassurance business
- Closely monitoring financial KPIs, Bancassurance budget and market share through right product mix
- Maintain awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework within which the Bank operates, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and expectations
- Overseeing the implementation of regulatory change including internal and external legal and compliance issues
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including product managers, business development managers and process owners, to drive product and process improvements and enhancements
- Assist the frontline in addressing any insurance sales-related issues
- Ensure junior product managers complete day-to-day operational tasks and stakeholders are managed in a timely manner
- Involved in customer complaint investigation and able to make good and unbiased judgements
- Guides junior products managers on analytics, alternative channel engagement, leads segment study and post mortem sales analysis
Managerial (team/group responsibilities)
- Develop and manage off the line marketing campaigns in coordination with related sales team
- Lead the development and implementation of new product initiatives and product enhancement projects for Bancassurance channel. Oversee and manage launch schedule of new products and digital projects
- Participate in the formulation of product strategies and prioritization of product initiatives particularly for Bancassurance channels
- Support on-going projects such as product reviews, sales campaign support along with business partners
- Lead, coordinate and monitor compliance and operational risk assessment with stakeholders
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters
Organizational (organizational responsibilities) including Strategic Cost Management and Financial Goals
- Manage both internal and external stakeholders to ensure technology infrastructure and operational processes are able to support timely and successful launch of projects according to agreed plan
- Responsible to uplift branch staff competency and selling skills on Bancassurance
- Ensure all staff within the department is constantly complying with internal policies and all regulatory requirements are met
Education/Qualification
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Banking/Investment/Finance/Economics/Actuary or a related field
- Pre Contract Exam (PCE), CEILI and Takaful Basic Exam (TBE) certification would be advantageous though not mandatory
Experience/Requirements
- Min 5 years of relevant experience in financial/investment field.
- Working in life or general insurance product roles with technical product knowledge and involved product development process
- Working with Bank channels with combination of people engagement and marketing strategies
- Strong interpersonal skills- Personable, approachable, collaborative
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Good analytical skills
- Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese
- Universal Life product knowledge and/or understanding of the referral process Universal Life product knowledge and/or understanding of the referral process is an advantage
