Job Description
Related Party monitoring
Monitor and compute percentage ratios in accordance with Chapter 10 of the MMLR of Bursa Malaysia.
Prepare report to the AC and the Board to update on recurrent related party transactions as per approved mandate on a quarterly basis.
Financial Management
Oversee financial operations, including working capital, capital expenditures, debt levels, taxes, budget, and general accounting.
Maintain an understanding and focus on tax activities of the country, including but not limited to implications of doing business in multiple countries.
Oversee processes and systems put in place to ensure efficient capture of revenue from the various stakeholder groups, including customers, service suppliers, and infrastructure providers.
Negotiate or approve contracts and agreements with suppliers, distributors, federal and state agencies, and other organisational entities within approved authorisation limits.
Ensures timely submission, accuracy, consistency and integrity of financial data.
Establishes and maintains a finance system which guarantees the accurate presentation of financial results.
Financial Reporting
Prepare and review reports to ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting policies and applicable regulations for stock exchange regulator and other regulators (e.g. Securities Commission, Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards, Jabatan Akauntan Negara, IRB).
Prepare and review statutory accounts reports to ensure accuracy and compliance to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Main contact point with external auditors.
Address audit issues and adjustment proposed by external auditor to finalise statutory accounts.
Request and maintain required supporting schedules from AGSS for financial reporting.
Review financial reporting schedules prepared by AGSS.
Analyse balance sheet movements and prepare detailed breakdown for reporting purposes.
Maintain ledger chart of accounts, ensuring it reflects the financial accounting needs of the business.
Analyse request for creation of new general ledger code or revision to existing chart of accounts.
Accounting Support
Oversee daily operations and address escalated issues on Accounts Payable processing, Accounts Receivable matters and banking transactions. Assisting AGSS in identifying receipts in bank which do not have any information.
Oversee and review petty cash payment, staff claims payment and cash advance payment processing.
Review whether impairment loss is computed correctly and well supported by assessment done and sign off on Journal Voucher to approve.
Review provisions for doubtful debts to ensure supported by assessments done and approved in accordance with approved LOA.
