JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Support, administer and develop customized solutions for all systems under the content engineering portfolio namely; the business scheduling system, the metadata system, the media asset management system, the rights management system and other content related databases/integrations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Resolve complex system issues that affects media preparation and delivery, ensuring timely content preparation for our customers.
• Analyze problems, provide analytics on issues to develop known issue database, and act on permanent solution
• Participate in the design and development of high-performance business applications, from requirements analysis to production.
• Constantly improve software quality (code reviews, tools, and underlying technologies)
• Develop custom solutions in a devops environment for product under care.
• Provide analytics and data to business queries, via dashboard or custom scripts
• Provide L1/L2 support to system users
• Assist senior engineers and AVP on project delivery.

REQUIREMENTS:

WHO YOU ARE:

• 3 years of working experience with a Bachelor’s degree in information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• Working knowledge of any programming languages (Java, Python) with the ability to develop simple tools (eg. Translator, file converter) to ease day to day operations
• Working knowledge of operating systems (Windows / Linux) and networking (router/switch/firewall)
• Working knowledge of databases (MySQL/MSSQL) and scripting will be an added advantage
• Working knowledge of cloud based technology (AWS/Azure/GCP) will be an added advantage
• Understanding of media workflows i.e. file delivery, transcoding, storage will be an added advantage
