Overview:

  • As the Lead, Special Project Operations (Business Analyst) at YTL Digital Bank Berhad, you will play a critical role in improving business processes, operational efficiency, and supporting change management initiatives.
  • A direct report to the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for identifying areas of improvement, managing optimisation initiatives, and ensuring seamless execution of internal operations to enhance the overall performance of the digital bank.

Job Description:

Process Analysis and Optimization:

  • Analyse current business processes within operations, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and implement process optimisation initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
  • Design and document operational workflows and procedures to align with business objectives.

Change Management:

  • Lead and manage operational change initiatives to support the bank's strategic goals and digital transformation efforts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess the impact of changes on processes, systems, and people.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of change initiatives, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the implementation of business and operational improvement projects from initiation to completion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while meeting performance and quality standards.
  • Liaise with internal departments (IT, Products, Risk, Compliance, etc.) to ensure projects align with operational and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, Products, Risk, Compliance, etc.) to ensure alignment of operations with business goals.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to define functional requirements for new systems or tools, driving continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with key stakeholders to gather business requirements and communicate findings.

Data-Driven Insights:

  • Use data analytics and reporting tools to assess operational performance and identify areas of improvement.
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc reports to provide insights into operational efficiency, KPI tracking, and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track progress of optimization initiatives and operational performance metrics.

Risk and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all process changes comply with regulatory and risk management requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and ensuring process compliance.

Job Requirement:

Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in operations analysis, business analysis, or process improvement, preferably within the banking or fintech sector.
  • Proven experience in managing change initiatives and process optimisation projects.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, services, and operational frameworks.
  • Proficiency with business process management tools, data analytics, and reporting software (e.g., Power BI, Excel, SQL).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Confluence, MS Project, etc.) is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills: Ability to present data, insights, and solutions to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Project management: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Collaboration: Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Problem-solving: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges.
