JOB PURPOSE

Head of Security is responsible for overseeing and managing the security operations, policies, and teams for an organization. This role ensures that all physical, cyber, and operational security measures are effectively implemented and maintained to protect the company's assets, personnel, and information. The Head of Security will work closely with senior leadership, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of the Bank.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Security & Risk Management

  • To manage appointment of Security Guarding & Cash-In-Transit services.
  • To ensure and manage service agreement for the service rendered is appropriately executed.
  • To manage and monitor performance of security guarding services at Head office and branches nationwide.
  • To manage urgent repairs of CCTV & Alarms faulty with assistance from vendor.
  • Collaboration with stakeholder on relocation or renovation i.e. Installation and upgrading of alarm and CCTV system at branches and off sites ATM.
  • Collaboration with stakeholder in the event of robbery / vandalism.
  • Determine security system required at branches nationwide based on BNM requirements and best industrial practice.
  • Prepare budgets related to security system and surveillance, as well as parking operations.

Contract Management

  • To monitor and manage Security Guarding services at branches & Head Office.
  • To manage and monitor Cash-In-Transit services.
  • Ensure quality service is provided to internal and external customers.
  • To response on stakeholder’s concern with regard to Security Guarding & Cash-In-Transit services.

Customer Service

  • Ensure quality service is provided to internal and external customers.
  • To response on stakeholder’s concern with regard to Security Guarding & Cash-In-Transit services.

Team Management

  • Manage discipline of security team members as well as vendors.
  • Compliance to policies & procedures set by the Bank.
  • Attend training / program pertaining to job assigned in order to enhance knowledge and skills.

Others

  • Ensure on time delivery of all job assigned.
  • Manage a proper document filing and archiving.
  • Manage records and registers updated as per given guidelines.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks/ projects as required by Head, Property & Projects and Group Chief Corporate Strategy & Sustainability Officer.

SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor Degree in related field.
  • Atleast with a 10 years of experience in related field.
  • Any relevant professional certificates in Securities will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex security issues in a clear and concise manner to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Expertise in managing and mitigating crisis situations.
  • Knowledge of modern security systems, surveillance equipment, and access control technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across various levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in using standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite, email, etc.), security management software, and basic IT systems.
