JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As our services scale to tens of millions of Customers, our Quality Assurance Team is growing fast. The Quality Assurance Engineer works in a cross-functional Engineering team delivering one of our core services – OTT, eCommerce, Payments, Identity, Portals.

Responsibilities

• Create and own test strategy for assigned project ensuring an effective mapping between functional requirements and quality strategy

• Lead and oversee/deliver test execution (integration, functional, regression, UAT) with good follow up ensuring on time completion of planned testing. Able to devise strategy to overcome risk/challenges that impede progress

• Devise quality metrics for the assigned project, including key Customer aspects and metrics of testing process

• Ensure that testing processes align with industry best practices and company standards (TMMI or ISO)

• Coordinate and manage the release cycles, working closely with development, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth deployments.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and business colleagues, to ensure that testing requirements are well understood and integrated into test strategy

• Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.

• Manage test resource and responsibility for project delivery

  Oversee the identification and reporting of critical defects and guiding the team in defect resolution.

• Drive the adoption of new tools, techniques, and best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.

• Perform implementation of automated scripts, contribute to Astro's automation frameworks for API, backend, web and mobile solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:

WHO YOU ARE:

• Min 5 years’ experience in leading a testing team of medium or large size in projects involving digital products or platforms (Web and Mobile Apps)

• Min 5 years’ experience with functional, regression, integration and white box testing experience

• Have experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and billing system

• Hands on experience with load test tools like JMeter and automation toolsets such as Selenium or Appium

• Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and asynchronous architectures

• Passion for developing new ideas and approaches, for demonstrable and sustainable continuous improvement

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, experienced with multi-cultural environments

  Additional qualifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester (CTFL or CTAL) or related agile methodologies, are an added advantage
