Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

  • Account manager is a Maxis sales professional and corporate business consultant with functionalities to establish and grow relationship with Federal Government clients, enhance engagement, establish account planning, develop business & sales plan to close deals & achieve sales target.
  • Account Manager required to manage a set of Federal Government accounts, responsible for differentiated customer services and for sales/incremental revenue/collections. Collaborate with internal teams, manage partners for most competitive value propositions.
  • Managing the entire sales cycle for government accounts from lead generation to closure. This means nurturing prospects, coordinating demos and trials, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.

  • CRM management: To register & qualify opportunities, ensure healthy funnels, consult supervisor & share deals  progress, plan & execute sales initiatives.
  • Building account plan and deals roadmap, ensure the cadence of pipelines, funnel & forecast.
  • Proposal & presentation for deal forum, pricing forum, Investment forum & business review.

 What do you need to have for the role?

  • Tertiary education in relevant field of study
  • With a total of 5 – 7 years of progressive experience in government sales preferably within the industry of ICT/Technology/Telecommunication.
  • Existing relationships with federal government accounts preferred.
  • Strong communications skills, PR skills, strategic skills, execution skills, charismatic skills and general skills.
  • Dynamic builder of relationships with key customers and operations.
  • Personal traits: Positive, Passionate, Collaborative, simple, trustworthy, creative, brave.
  • Pleasant personality with commendable attitude.
  • A self-starter, proactive, committed, disciplined, energetic, team player with leadership qualities.
  • Able to perform under pressure in a challenging environment.
