As part of the Group Commercial Division, you will support the Manager of Growth Markets in spearheading AirAsia’s network expansion initiatives across new and emerging markets. You’ll be a key player in driving our regional and global footprint—conducting deep market research, building compelling business cases, and executing strategic market entries that align with our vision to be the world’s best low-cost airline.

WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:
Support the development and execution of market entry strategies for new markets, aligned with business growth objectives.
Conduct in-depth market research and feasibility studies, including demand analysis, competitive landscape, fare benchmarking, and customer profiling.
Collaborate with internal departments (Network Planning, Sales, Marketing, Revenue, Regulatory, Ground Operations) and external partners (partners and government agencies) to drive go-to-market plans.
Assist in preparing strategic business cases including route assumptions, traffic forecasts and financial viability for leadership approval.
Assist in the identification, evaluation, and selection of General Sales Agents and relevant local partners, as well as in the onboarding process to ensure strategic alignment and commercial readiness.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to roll up impactful launch campaigns, partnerships, and awareness-building in new markets.
Monitor the performance of newly launched routes and provide timely insights and actions to improve yield, load factor, and market penetration.
Coordinate cross-functional project timelines, ensuring operational and commercial readiness for Open-for-Sales and flight launch.
Stay on top of aviation trends, tourism developments, and regulatory policies that could influence route performance and market viability.
Perform any additional duties assigned by the Manager or Head of Department in alignment with business goals and team priorities.
WHO YOU ARE:
A strategic thinker with strong analytical and commercial acumen.
Able to manage cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Agile, solution-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity.
Eager to learn, adaptable, and hungry for continuous growth.
Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
Proficient in Google Workspace (G-Suite) for reporting and presentations..
Experience in aviation, business strategy, or the travel industry is preferred.
Skilled in research, financial modelling, and business case building (a strong advantage).
