JOB SCOPE: The incumbent is responsible to assess the underlying risk profile of the company and generate quotations accurately on a timely manner.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Underwrite new business and renewal business for Group Customers within the company specified approval limits.
• Provide consistent and fair assessment based on the group’s underlying risk profile with customer’s best interest in mind.
• Ensure quotation request is performed within service standard until customer outcome is delivered.
• Adhere to Group Business Underwriting Guidelines and standards set.
• Communicate with actuarial, reinsurers, technical services, agents on the more complex cases.
• Accountable for portfolio management to ensure profitability objectives are consistently met.
• Build and maintain the quotation tools to ensure the calculation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Support senior management in strategic planning, management deck preparation and reporting.

JOB SPECIFICATION:   

Qualifications

• Possess Degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent in life insurance related field.

Experience

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in group business underwriting or pricing will be an added advantage.
• Customer focused with excellent problem-solving skills, positive attitude and excels under pressure.

Knowledge

• Proficient in Microsoft Application e.g.  Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
