Job Purpose Summary:
The Head of Process & Governance for Group Technology will be accountable for the following areas:
Manage process, risk, compliance and governance capability
Drive and facilitate risk and compliance initiatives across IT
Manage inventory of IT hardware from acquisition to removal and disposal, software asset / licenses and track annual maintenance contract renewal
Report cataloguing and provisioning
Functional (job responsibilities)
Manage process, risk, compliance and governance capability
Work closely with internal functional areas to ensure end to end review, development & alignment of policies, standards and processes to support the business mandate & operations, including 3rd party vendors engaged to support IT programs and to ensure regulatory requirements are complied with
Objectively review and evaluate performed processes against the applicable process descriptions, standards, and procedures to streamline the processes, re-engineer where necessary.
Develop and maintain knowledge base on IT approved policies & procedures, manuals and guides
Coordinate, document & communicate process improvement activities within IT. Establish new programs &/or recommend the adoption of new or modified policies/procedures based on the evolving regulatory landscape.
Communicate pertinent IT governance, risk and compliance requirements to internal & external stakeholders.
Raise awareness & provide advisory to IT staff on IT policies & procedures and regulatory requirements
Drive and facilitate risk and compliance initiatives across IT. (e.g. Audit fieldwork, Horizon Scanning, RCSA, CSA, Outsourcing Assessment, Annual IT Vendor Due Diligence Review, PCI-DSS Assessment etc.).
Conduct compliance check to ensure adherence
Manage inventory of IT hardware from acquisition to removal and disposal, software asset / licenses and track annual maintenance contract renewal
Report cataloguing and provisioning
Managerial (team/group responsibilities)
Plan & manage resources to meet growing demands from IT & Business Users.
Provide leadership & direction to direct reports in creating a working environment of high expectations & commitment with focus on proactively responding with reliable, flexible & innovative technology solutions.
Plan & execute staff resource development & training plan & develop pool of experts to provide professional advice to business users.
Monitor staff performance & conduct performance appraisals.
Organizational (organizational responsibilities) including Strategic Cost Management and Financial Goals
Administration:
Assist in preparation & management of IT budget.
Assist CITO to reduce overhead costs & meet budgeted targets.
Jobholder Requirements
Education/Qualification
Professional IT qualification/IT degree/related degree or diploma.
Experience/Requirements
Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the technology arena
Must have strong leadership and Management skill to managing technical staff, assigning and organizing tasks, overseeing implementations and managing budget.
Good communication skill
