Overview: 

We are seeking a dedicated Credit Operations Specialist to support the daily operations of loan processing and servicing within our financial institution. This role ensures efficient loan operations in alignment with our service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee loan processing and servicing, including application review, approval, and disbursement, ensuring accuracy and completeness of loan documentation.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries and issues related to loan operations.
• Manage settlement and reconciliation of loan-related services.
• Drive improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of loan processing and develop long-term strategies for the loan operations function.
• Conduct reporting and analysis related to loan operations.
• Assist the Senior Manager during audits in related operational areas.
• Collaborate with the Senior Manager to identify and implement cost-cutting measures and automation.
• Provide support to team members and handle assignments and ad-hoc requests as needed.

Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or recognized certifications appropriate to the role.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Loans/Credit functions within financial institutions, with a deep understanding of industry trends and common fraud modes.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and an effective team player.
