FWD Technology and Innovation Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., known as FWD TIM, was established in late 2019. Purpose

  • Support development and implementation of procurement governance and control framework.

  • Develop Group-wide procurement data analytic for providing insights, performance reporting, control monitoring and strategy development.

  • Manage procurement digital transformation initiatives. Improve Group-wide adoption and efficiency.

  • Advice and support business functions on procurement and risk management best practice, processes to ensure successful implementation and adoption of the framework.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support development and rollout of Group-wide procurement policy, guidelines and best practice.

  • Manage change management communications and provide regular trainings to Group functions. Support business units on planning and execution of local communication and trainings. Drive awareness of compliance of policy across the Group.

  • Develop procurement controls framework and data analytic for efficient and effective monitoring. Lead procurement policy compliance and control process.

  • Develop Group-wide spend analytic for management reporting, providing insights of spend profile, support the team on sourcing plan and category strategy development.

  • Provide advice, guidance and support business functions on procurement and risk management best practice, processes to ensure successful implementation and adoption of the framework.

  • Perform in-depth analysis on processes, spend, supply market research and develop regular reports for procurement performance assessments, Group-wide process efficiency and digitalization adoption measurements.

  • Support category planning, sourcing executions as needed.

  • Support procurement function related transformation projects and organization development in Group Office and Business Units.

  • Lead contract management system and process development. Support enhancement of procure-to-pay process.

  • Support development and implementation of vendor risk and lifecycle management framework.

  • Value delivery: insights and transparency of vendor spend profile, procurement performance and efficiency improvement.

  • Service quality: stakeholder satisfaction of procurement services and advice.

  • Supplier risk management: comply with policies and mitigate risks.

  • Group Finance Operations/TIM finance COE teams.

  • Business Units Finance, Procurement teams, and vendor contracts owners in different functions.

  • Data analytic, spend analysis and performance reporting methodologies and structure.

  • Change management planning and activities.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Over 8 years of relevant experience in procurement area. Strong understanding of procurement best practice, process, strategic sourcing and risk management. Solid experience in governance, compliance, policy & procedures and data analytics of regional organization.

  • Experience working in financial institutions, preferably global/regional insurance company and relevant experience in top tier consulting firms and/or risk & compliance function is preferred.

  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-growing, multi-national and -cultural business organizations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Mathematics or other relevant degree.

  • Track record of procurement governance and controls development and rollout, data analytic and procurement performance reporting development.

  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of vendor risk management and contracting process.

  • A good technical appreciation of the range of procurement categories.

  • Knowledge and experience of source-to-pay system is essential, preferably Oracle Finance and Procurement systems.

  • Proven change management capability.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to details.

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and strong relationship management with stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team to drive cross functional collaboration.
