Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:

  • Responsible for managing the SANTAN Quality Team for both inflight & chain restaurants to ensure quality team performance and motivation.

  • Serve as Food Safety Team Leader (FSTL) in the absence of competence FSTL or guide to the potential FSTL that leads the Food Safety Team in managing the Food Safety Management Program in Inflight Operation and/or Retails Business.

  • Lead in developing, implementing, communicating, improving and maintaining the company’s Food Safety Management System and Policies that serve as guidelines for others AOCs implementation.

  • Lead in establishing Food Safety and Quality requirements for food product specification with proper assessment to ensure product compliance to regulatory requirements and safe to go live.

  • To ensure internal and external parties (supplier & warehouse) meet food safety requirements and to maintain or improve product quality and consistency.

  • Liaise with auditor/inspector/officer and ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with any audit findings or regulations.

  • To coordinate the product laboratory testing, onboard test, equipment calibration and other periodic testing by the quarantine department for process improvement.

  • To coordinate work on SANTAN product, restaurant and inflight warehouse’s certification. To ensure compliances of all AOCs inflight and SANTAN restaurant through certification tracking and audit verification.

  • Monitor the overall quality chain compliances at supplier, warehouse, distribution, restaurant as well as crew handling in all SANTAN business units (inflight & restaurant) with audit & inspection plan. To maintain the Food Safety & Quality standards of all AOCs through compliance tracking and supplier audit verification.

  • Calibrate or provide relevant quality-related and hygiene training when necessary.

  • To lead on the customer satisfaction survey and manage internal/ external customer feedback and complaints for improvement plans.

  • To coordinate & execute Supplier Assurance Program with FS&Q audit to ensure regulatory compliance and work closely with suppliers on improvement. Serve as key Lead Auditor for Food Safety audit to Supplier.

  • Coordinate the meal tests with the product team according to schedule for quality consistency & improvement for inflight across regional and chain restaurants.

  • Advisor & liaison of quality & food safety relevant matters to the product development process on shelf life evaluation, nutrition testing, label requirement, supplier evaluation and all business units on project support with technical and testing advice through correct Quality Policy & Protocol.

  • Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization

  • To submit monthly report on the Quality performance review for key area improvement

  • Write technical reports.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor Degree in Food Science or Food Technology or Food Engineering or Food Studies or Nutrition.

  • Attended relevant training such as HACCP, GMP, Food Handler Course, Food Safety etc.

  • Preferable to have relevant certificate or experience on Food Safety or Quality internal auditor or lead auditor.

  • At least 5 years working experience in the food industry or food service management operations.

  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of food production, handling and operations.

  • Familiar with local law pertaining to the food service operations

  • High comfort level working in a diverse environment

  • Able to work under minimum supervision

  • Able to travel as when it is required

  • Able to work under pressure and deliver within short timeline

  • Equipped with analytical and problem solving skills.
