Role Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analyst to be based at our client site in Putrajaya. In this role, you will collaborate with dynamic international teams and play a key part in supporting a range of business functions. You’ll work closely with IT Lines and business support teams to drive effective solution delivery, ensure alignment with strategic objectives, and contribute to impactful project outcomes in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Main Responsibilities:
Understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications, test scenarios, and system documentation
Develop and document functional and business requirements for IT projects, including applications written in Java, Angular, and COBOL
Provide functional and technical analysis support to departments in their daily operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including developers, designers, and project managers—to deliver business-aligned solutions
Analyze and propose improvements to business processes within the finance domain
Contribute to the development of project timelines, budgets, and planning documents
Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with business objectives and industry regulatory requirements
Work Experience:
Experienced: 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Developer (Methodologies: Waterfall & Agile accepted)
Senior: 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (Waterfall & Agile methodologies accepted). Prior development experience would be a plus.
Any experience supporting production teams or engaging directly with business users will be highly valued.
Experience in the finance, banking, or insurance sectors is preferred.
Academic Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology and/or Finance/Banking
Professional certifications are an advantage (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, PMP)
Required Technical Skills:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT development within banking or financial services
Knowledge of project methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
Working experience with technologies such as Java, COBOL, and Angular
Knowledge of SQL
Experience using tools such as Jira, test management tools, or any test repository (e.g., Squash)
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and collaboration skills with both technical teams and business stakeholders
