JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Automation Programming:

  • Develop and implement scripts and automation tools for video and audio editing processes.
  • Collaborate with the post-production teams to identify opportunities for task automation and workflow optimization.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve automation processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into existing systems.

System Engineering:

  • Provide technical support for Mac workstations, graphics PCs, and storage servers used in audio and video editing.
  • To ensure preventive maintenance is performed accordingly (In-house and external vendors)
  • To set up and maintain (Hardware and Software) all Servers and Client Workstations.
  • To configure and maintain the Post-Production network infrastructure.
  • To manage and ensure IT Security compliance (SIRIM ISO 27001:2022).
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide timely resolutions.

Linux Expertise:

  • Administer and maintain Linux-based servers supporting audio and video editing operations including regular server housekeeping.
  • To conduct regular server backup (archiving) of metadata, video, and audio files.

Client Support:

  • Assist clients, editors, and graphic designers with their computer equipment and in understanding and utilizing automated workflows.
  • Provide technical guidance on system functionalities and best practices.
  • Address and resolve user inquiries and issues related to automation processes.

Inventory Management:

  • To manage the inventory of equipment, asset tagging, and disposal lists for the post-production department, including Mac workstations, graphics PCs, and storage servers..
  • Coordinate with procurement for equipment purchases and upgrades.

REQUIREMENTS:

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in programming and automation, especially in the context of video and audio editing.
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration.
  • Experience with Mac workstations, graphics PCs, and storage servers.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with industry-standard video and audio editing software.
  • Knowledge of multimedia formats and codecs.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Linux certifications, programming languages).
  • The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and technical capabilities of our Post-Production team at Astro through automation and system engineering.
