Job Description

Key Objective of Role

As our business continues to thrive and expand across South-East Asia and our team members advance in their careers, we're seeking a driven HR Specialist to become an integral cornerstone of our Employee Services/Operations team in our vibrant Kuala Lumpur hub.

Reporting directly to the Manager of HR Operations and Payroll, Asia, you'll focus on Employee Services Support across Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, with exciting opportunities to chip in to cross-border initiatives such as Employee Core Data Management and Payroll Integration across multiple employment entities.

We're looking for a HR Specialist who thrives on independently handling employee queries, stays current with statutory requirements, and collaborates seamlessly with our HR Business Partner team and stakeholders. You'll be part of an upbeat, diverse team with established processes and engaging team rituals. Plus, you'll get to work with our suite of ground breaking HR technology including Workday (HRIS), CultureAmp (Engagement Platform), and ProSoft (Payroll System), alongside premium external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive comprehensive Employee Services and HR transactions throughout the entire employee lifecycle – from hire to retire
  • Create exceptional onboarding experiences and run offboarding processes, including meet and greet sessions, New Hire Orientation programs, and exit procedures
  • Be a trusted HR Advisor to Employees, Managers, HR Business Partners and CoEs, providing expert guidance on HR policies, processes, and systems
  • Take ownership of service requests, delivering outstanding experiences with focus on 'Moments That Matter'
  • Lead end-to-end payroll processing for designated regions, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain precise HRIS/payroll system records, including core employee data, tax exemptions, insurance coverage, and various allowances/deductions
  • Ensure seamless compliance with statutory requirements across regions
  • Shape HR Policies & Procedures through reviews and improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to exciting strategic team projects including regional payroll transformation
  • Engage with leadership team members through impactful reporting and presentations
  • Be part of a dynamic team that values continuous learning and knowledge sharing

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1-2 years of dynamic experience in HR Services/People Operations, including payroll processing and general HR operations
  • Track record of success in international organizations (MNCs or large local conglomerates)
  • Solid understanding of HR/Employment regulations and HRIS/payroll best practices
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in MS Office and HR cloud systems
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a diplomatic touch
  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma with HR certifications being a plus
  • Sharp problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Excellence in juggling multiple priorities
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data privacy
  • Passion for creating positive employee experiences
