We are looking for a Senior Taxation Analyst who will be responsible to ensure tax governance and compliance is maintained tax policies and procedures. As the Taxation Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our tax governance and compliance objectives are met while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
You will be responsible for tax reporting and provide support to ensure compliance with all tax governance and compliance objectives that the Tax Enterprise Services team is responsible for managing, including tax policies and procedures, tax filing obligations, other tax reporting obligations and relationships with relevant stakeholders.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Collaborate with the Tax Enterprise Services team to achieve tax governance and compliance objectives.
Provide assurance that tax governance and compliance objectives are being met.
Prepare data and reports for other members of the Tax Enterprise Services team.
Review all outputs from Finance Enterprise Services teams associated with the preparation and lodgement of tax filing obligations, including Income Tax, Goods & Services Tax, Sales and Service Tax, and Withholding Taxes
Review all outputs from Finance Enterprise Services teams associated with the preparation and lodgement of tax filing obligations, including Tax Effect Accounting calculations, Thin capitalization calculations, Controlled foreign company calculations, and Conduit foreign income account calculations.
Offer exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries from the business regarding Deal Administration activities, maintaining effective customer relationships, and escalating issues to direct reports when necessary.
Ensure compliance with Tax Services policies and procedures and proactively identify and report non-compliant issues.
Identify and report continuous improvement initiatives related to Tax Services processes and systems.
·Develop and maintain applicable Tax Services documentation and supporting procedures, keeping them up to date.
To be considered for this role:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business or Commerce with a major or sub-major in Finance and/or Accounting (or equivalent skills and knowledge).
Over 3 years of experience in Tax, Finance, and/or Accounting (or equivalent level of skill obtained through on-the-job training/experience).
· Experience and/or fundamental knowledge and understanding of Tax operations and applicable legislations in Malaysia and Singapore for an added advantage.
Experience in Tax functions preferred.
Property and infrastructure or investment management industry experience highly regarded.
Experience with Oracle and/or similar financial accounting systems.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information.
Ability to act and operate independently with daily direction from a manager to accomplish objectives.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
Organized, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to simplify complex information in pursuit of clear deliverables.
Enjoys working in a team environment with an engaging and down-to-earth approach.
