We are looking for a highly skilled Actuarial Ecosystem Solution Analyst to be responsible for the tooling and processes that support actuarial functions within our technology ecosystem. This role requires expertise in Azure and GCP environments, as well as the ability to work with actuarial and data-related tools such as Databricks, Collibra, Unify (workflow), Pathwise and Prophet. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between actuarial teams and technology, ensuring seamless integration, automation, and optimization of actuarial workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage the technology ecosystem supporting actuarial processes, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Work closely with Actuarial, Data, and IT teams to design, implement, and maintain actuarial tooling and workflows.
Develop and optimize data pipelines and workflow automation using tools such as Databricks, Unify, and Collibra.
Ensure seamless integration of actuarial modeling software (Pathwise, Prophet) within cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable and efficient technical solutions.
Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, compliance, and performance best practices.
Drive process improvements by leveraging cloud-native solutions and best practices in data engineering and workflow automation.
Provide technical guidance and support to actuarial teams on tool usage, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in actuarial tech, cloud computing, and data management.
Technical Skills
Ideally 7 to 10 years experience
Strong expertise in Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for managing actuarial workloads.
Hands-on experience with Databricks for data processing and analytics.
Familiarity with Collibra (Data Governance) and Unify (Workflow Automation).
Experience with actuarial modeling tools such as Pathwise, Prophet, or similar.
Knowledge of data engineering, workflow automation, and cloud-native application development.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, or other scripting languages for automation and integration.
Experience in managing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and cloud security best practices.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Self-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Agile mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
Experience in the insurance or financial services industry with exposure to actuarial processes.
Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, or Databricks Certified Data Engineer).
Prior experience working with actuarial teams or understanding of actuarial workflows is a plus.
