KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure efficient and effective operational structures, policies, processes, system and technologies are in place to maximise cost efficiency.• Oversee the establishment of processes to support new products and services launched by the Bank.• Sponsor the implementation of key talent initiatives in the Securities Division, including building Affin Hwang’s employer brand, developing talent capability, reinforcing a performance culture and fostering the Group’s core values.• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, Affin Hwang’s policies and procedures, including establishing and maintaining robust operating controls.• Represent Securities Operations to external constituencies

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor degree and/or professional qualification in a relevant discipline• 10 or more years of relevant experience at an established financial institution, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role • Proven track record of meeting progressive performance targets• Sound understanding of regulations, and deep industry and market knowledge with a proven record of translating this into effective business strategies to grow the business• Extensive business network and well regarded in the financial services community domestically and regionally • Strong leadership skills in building a high-performing organisation and collaborative culture• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with different levels of stakeholders and employees• Strong cultural sensitivity to manage relationships with people from diverse cultures• Innovative, entrepreneurial, and a self-starter
