Job Summary

  • The Group’s Fit For Growth (FFG) Programme commenced in Q1 2024, with the aim of simplifying, standardising, and digitising the Bank’s processes, to provide a platform for Business growth and to ‘make it easier to get things done’. As part of this program, a key workstream is set-up to simplify, consolidate and standardize Lending platform and services.
  • This workstream will own end-to-end delivery of developing new platform for  Lending  with a focus on Product Innovation, Digital Journeys with the aim to ensure delivery of capabilities within budgets/timelines while ensuring the best-in-class client experience.
  • Incumbent should be able to lead product development, enhancement of existing products/features and product management for remittance capabilities in-line with the overall group retail products strategy.
  • Monetize capabilities and develop analytics to track performance

Key Responsibilities

  • With deep knowledge of agile principles, own the vision of the Lending squad and hold accountability for defining and delivering on the Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) of that squad including -
    • Defining end-to-end requirements, making sure they are complete, integral and consistent.
    • Building and prioritizing Squad backlog in terms of user stories to achieve business goals; Continuously keeping the backlog up to date
    • Managing relationships and synchronizing Technology colleagues with the Hive Lead, Chapter Lead and other Product Owners in cross-squads responsible for related products to align on roadmaps, priorities and dependencies.
  • Work with markets in scope for commercialization and monetization of the capabilities, helping to increase product adoption.
  • Develop, deploy and track key success metrics.
  • Evaluate processes for optimisation of technical stack and automation of back-end processes for end-to-end Straight Through Processes. 
  • Proactively provide inputs into squad members evaluation and performance review on a regular basis
  • Working with Hive Lead, dynamically allocate resources within the squad based on (i) squad backlogs and (ii) resource needs.
  • Ensures timely, and quality (error free) submissions, as needed for internal governance forums like QPRs / MPRs
  • Ensures that all the applicable and relevant standards and policies are duly met 
  • Working with cross functional teams including technology, Legal, Compliance, Fraud, operational risks during the course of each delivery
  • Ensure, where applicable, adequate and appropriate systems, controls and compliance within area of responsibility.  Where appropriate, direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate reporting.

Skills and Experience

  • At least 7-10 years of experience in a financial institution, preferably in Retail Clients / Retail Product and project delivery 
  • Domain Related knowledge 
    • Lending life cycle from origination to account closure, related financial behaviour 
    • Collection life cycle from Delinquency , to case management, disposal of accounts 
    • Various products like RLS, MARCIS , CACS
    • IAS 39 , IFR9 experience  
    • Experience on application development , hands on engineer , architects.
  • Understanding of and delivery under Agile framework
  • Strong financial management capabilities: budget tracking, planning, forecast and variance explanations.
  • Strong understanding of Risk and Controls associated with lending and collections and ability to identify and mitigate emerging risk with client focus

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or IT relevant.
