Job Purpose

To assist in conducting thematic analysis and reviews of the group’s credit exposures and provide support in identifying trends, assessing risk, and suggest recommendations to improve the bank's credit practices.

Responsibilities

  • As a junior analyst in conducting credit risk thematic analysis to identify trends and patterns that could indicate potential credit risks or opportunities.

  • Supporting senior analyst in identifying areas to improve credit practices that may include recommending changes to lending policies, procedures, or risk management practices.

  • Supporting senior analyst in presenting findings to senior management, including the Group Chief Risk Officer and risk committees that will include providing recommendations on how to mitigate identified risks and capitalize on opportunities.

  • Collaborating and work closely with other units within Group Credit Risk Management such as credit policy, credit surveillance, portfolio analytics, and independent credit review as well as engaging with other relevant departments such as credit appraisals, loan operations, and compliance, to ensure that thematic analysis reviews are conducted holistically and comprehensively.

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of all analysis and reviews, including findings, recommendations, and action plans.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • Knowledge or experience in credit portfolio analysis, credit risk management, or related field as well as knowledge of banking regulations and lending practices will be a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools such as SAS Enterprise Guide, Phyton, Microsoft Power BI will be an advantage.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
