Job Summary:

  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of financial statements for private trust and estate administration, while supporting the finance team to maintain smooth and efficient operations.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Perform bookkeeping and reconciliation of bank transactions, as well as other transactions, to maintain the preparation of a full set of accounts for trust accounts, individual private trusts, estate administration, and SPV company portfolios.
  • Ensure the timely preparation of financial statements and accounts for private trust cases and SPV companies, in line with annual tax submission requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax agents regarding the trust’s financial statements and tax-related matters for the trust portfolio.
  • Ensure all bank reconciliations for omnibus client accounts are completed regularly, making sure all transactions are recorded and closed in the system.
  • Participate in accounting or system-related projects and assignments as needed.
  • Ensure timely issuance of tax invoices for administration fees on a regular basis.
  • Perform any additional tasks or changes in duties as directed by management in relation to finance and accounting operations. This may include assisting the Finance Manager with the following but not limited to preparation of company accounts and tax submissions, performing monthly and yearly financial closing processes.
  • Liaising with external parties, including auditors, tax agents, bankers, and government departments, on all financial and tax-related matters.
  • Issue payments to vendors and handle petty cash.

Job Requirements: 

  • The candidate must have a strong understanding of the calculation of both realized and unrealized gains for various investment classes.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in preparing full sets of accounts and financial statements. Strong understanding of double entries and the calculation of realized and unrealized gains across various investment classes is required.
  • Candidates with experience in preparing accounts or financial statements for private trust portfolios are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to work closely with internal stakeholders, such as trustee operations and group finance.
  • Capable of independently preparing accounts and financial statements with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Diploma holders may also be considered, depending on relevant working experience, especially within the trust industry.
  • A team player who is proactive, self-motivated, and a quick starter.
