Job Requisition: Purchasing Executive – Repair ExecutiveCompany: AirAsia XPosition Title: Purchasing Executive – Repair ExecutiveImmediate Supervisor: Material Manager

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Material Manager in implementing systems for managing spares that require repairs, overhauls, exchanges, testing, or any related activities.
  • Coordinate logistics arrangements to ensure efficient transportation as required.

Requirements:

Education:

  • A recognized Bachelor’s Degree in any field, or
  • A Diploma in any Administration/Engineering-related field.

Minimum Work Experience:

  • Degree: Fresh graduates in Administration/Engineering-related fields are encouraged to apply.
  • Diploma: At least 2-3 years of working experience in Engineering/Logistics/related fields.

Specific Functions:

  • Quotation Requests and Orders:

    • Responsible for preparing Purchase Requisition/Repair Orders/Exchange Orders/Exchange in Advance Orders for all aircraft and commercial items required for repair, overhaul, or testing of engineering aircraft materials.
  • Coordination and Liaison:

    • Liaise and follow up with agencies for clearance of incoming engineering aircraft items sent/received to/from the repair center.
    • Communicate with vendors and other agencies regarding items sent for repair, overhaul, calibration, and exchange.
  • Documentation Management:

    • Ensure up-to-date records of the following documents:
      • Quotations received from vendors.
      • Evaluation of suppliers’ quotes and suggested sources for repair.
      • Approved Purchase Requisitions from management.
      • Approved Repair Orders/Warranty/Exchange/Exchange in Advance from management.
  • Review and Reporting:

    • Review Strip Reports upon receipt of repaired items and share them with the Technical Services Department for further review.
    • Produce reports for management review and help plan improvement activities.
  • Coordination of Shipments:

    • Coordinate the shipment of spares to approved vendors and ensure all orders are closed out.
    • Ensure proper documentation is filed for items shipped and retrieved.
  • Consultation with Technical Services:

    • Consult the AAX Technical Services Department for any special inspection or investigation needed on a wheel removed for reasons other than normal wear and tear (e.g., deflation, thread thrown).
  • Air France-specific Responsibilities (if applicable):

    • Prepare for the pickup or return of loan or exchange parts, including documentation and create a control system for monitoring activities.
    • Monitor movements of Air France-related materials and provide reports on Air France exchange materials for monitoring and reviews.
  • Other Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Material Manager with the completion of any additional tasks assigned.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage logistics and vendor relationships efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with strong document management skills.
  • Ability to produce timely reports for management.
  • Knowledge of engineering parts and materials is a plus.
