Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Chief Compliance Officer / MLRO to lead our Compliance, Financial Crime and Conduct Risk (CFCR) function based in Luxembourg. This role ensures our business operates with integrity, meets regulatory expectations, and aligns with our Here for Good values. You will oversee compliance policies, manage regulatory relationships, and drive proactive risk management. If you have a deep understanding of Luxembourg’s regulatory framework, financial crime risk, and compliance best practices, this is an exciting opportunity to lead compliance strategy in a dynamic financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the CFCR function in Luxembourg, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards
  • Act as the main point of contact for regulatory authorities and ensure proactive engagement with the CSSF
  • Oversee financial crime risk, including AML/CFT, sanctions compliance, and anti-bribery frameworks
  • Develop and maintain effective risk management, governance, and compliance oversight processes
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to senior stakeholders, ensuring compliance with local and global policies
  • Support the growth of the business by embedding compliance into decision-making and risk management
  • Act as the Data Protection Officer and designated person for CNPD

Skills and Qualifications

Skills

  • Extensive experience in financial services compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs
  • Strong knowledge of Luxembourg’s regulatory environment (CSSF regulations, AML/CFT frameworks) as well as applicable EU regulations such as MiCAR
  • Expertise in financial crime risk management and compliance advisory
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to engage with senior leadership and regulators
  • Knowledge of digital assets and custody business is a plus
  • Practical knowledge of Blockchain analytical tools such as Chainalysis would be a distinct advantage
  • Proficiency in English and French or German

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in compliance, financial crime, or regulatory risk
  • Strong understanding of the EU and Luxembourg regulatory framework with regards to a custody business and digital assets 
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage regulatory relationships
