Make your mark in Finance

One of the Finance roles, capital management is an essential role in managing adequate level of capital position at AIG. It delivers financial strategy aimed at ensuring maximum efficiency in financial resources and increase earnings. It revolves around carefully analyzing company assets and liabilities and managing risk capitals with a good understanding regulatory requirements and insight into financial markets. In terms of K-ICS, the new solvency regime, it is required to have a more sophisticated calculation, analysis, and strategic decision making to be in line with the company’s capital management strategy.

You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders including external auditors and regulators. You will be able to support the CFO and the company’s senior management by providing insightful financial information in a prompt manner. Moreover, you will be the spearhead of properly managing a company’s solvency position and calculating/maintaining overall RAAS quantitative indicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculation and Analysis of PAP balance sheet items and the solvency ratio
  • Establishment of capital management strategy including dividend planning /capital injection
  • Set-up of operating capital ranges
  • Projection of solvency ratio including PAP BS
  • Coordination and response to the K-ICS audit (external accounting firm, regulators)
  • K-ICS system stabilization and management
  • Calculation and Analysis of RAAS quantitative indicators
  • Preparation of disclosure and regulatory reports related to K-ICS and RAAS quantitative indicators
  • Good communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders

Key Capabilities:

  • High responsibility for accuracy and being careful attention to details
  • Professional understanding and analysis of solvency regime and IFRS17
  • Strong analytical skills and proficient working knowledge of reporting systems
  • Practical, hands-on problem-solving ability to complete tasks within the established deadlines
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency  in written and spoken English is a plus

Key Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in the insurance industry and 5+ years of experience in solvency management (K-ICS related experience is required.)
  • Work experience in ALM or IFRS17 preferred
  • Certificates of FRM/Actuary preferred
  • Fluent English skills preferred
