Job Description

Functional Duties

  • Oversee Flight Dispatch and Crew Scheduling and the On Time Performance for the airline.

  • The efficient scheduling of aircraft and crew in liaison with the Engineering, Schedule Planning and Revenue Management Team, to ensure that aircraft utilisation, punctuality and regularity targets are met.

  • The maintenance of accurate crew records to comply with the Company’s approved Flight Time Limitations scheme and other mandatory crew records as required by the regulatory authorities.

  • The processing of Flight Time Discretion Reports, forwarding to the Regulatory authority via the DFO when required and monitoring trends to prevent rpetitive problems.

  • Ensuring all operations and crewing staff are fully conversant with the relevant Company Operations and Emergency Response Manual.

  • The management of all Company Operational support systems for the provision of flight planning, weather and NOTAM services, aircraft performance data, airways manuals and aircraft navigation databases, in conjunction with the Chief Pilots Operations.

  • Managing the Operations Control Center budget to achieve agreed targets including overall Operations cost per ask via clear objectives and KPIs for all staff.

  • Ensure flight following protocol is adhered to.

Skills & Experience

  •  Preferably with at least 5 years of experience in or with complex Operations, Network Management Centre or Flight dispatcher performing a supervisory role.

  • Bachelor Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Airline Operations/Airport, Flight Dispatch License or equivalent.

  • Conversant with Business Continuity and Emergency response Procedures.

  • Familiar with crew, schedule and engineering limitations and impacts.

  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.

  • Ideally a Six Sigma Green Belt certified or Lean process trained.

  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google software. Familiar with AIMs and Navtech systems will be an added advantage.
