Who are we looking for?
We are looking for Head of Corporate Strategy & Development to lead a team in formulating and executing the strategy in equipping new growth engines for the business across the CLM Hub markets to fuel sustainable long-term growth and proactive manage performance & effectively communicate strategic results to relevant stakeholders.
What are we expecting from this role?
Bancassurance Partnerships:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the bancassurance landscape, proactively identifying and engaging potential bank partners.
- Lead deal structuring with strong financial justification to secure internal approvals and partner agreements.
- Facilitate the smooth transition of new bank partnerships to the distribution team for execution, providing initial oversight to ensure alignment with the plan.
New Channel Establishment:
- Conduct feasibility studies for new distribution channels across three markets, aligning with CLM EXCO directives.
- Pilot selected channel options, transferring ownership to management upon successful establishment and scalability.
- Note: Scaling of existing agency channels is considered business-as-usual and managed by the distribution team.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Identify and cultivate partnerships that drive new business opportunities through value-added services (VAS) and referral programs.
- Onboard partners with robust financial agreements, securing exclusivity and leveraging digital solutions.
- Collaborate with the Health Team on the identification and onboarding of health-specific partners.
Performance Management:
- Coordinate monthly KPI tracking and performance management.
- Provide EXCO members with insightful KPI performance updates.
- Prepare quarterly business performance dialogue presentations, including data analysis and visual representations.
- Develop strategy communication presentations for internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Forecast strategic KPI performance through collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance understanding of strategic performance drivers.
- Maintain effective communication with group office stakeholders.
Who is the right fit for this role?
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the financial services industry (banking and/or insurance).
- Demonstrated strong commercial acumen and proficiency in data and numerical analysis.
- Proven experience in performance management, with excellent storytelling and data visualization skills.
- Strong analytical mindset and understanding of insurance financials.
- Proven team leadership experience.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
