Job Purpose

This fully Japanese / English bilingual role will support and have opportunities to lead various initiatives, data analytics and focused efforts across Japan and APAC aimed at improving the colleague experience.

The role will primarily focus on initiatives and efforts related to increased and more effective adoption of collaboration tools such as Teams, Teams Room / Cisco video conferencing, OneDrive Internal / External, PowerBI and other apps and tools in the Microsoft Office suite as well as broader initiatives impacting colleagues such as PCaaS, Windows 11 and Windows 365.

Engage business colleagues and managers to help identify and document opportunities to improve usage of modern technology and systems – all with the aim of enabling the business to become more efficient through technology / automation and elimination of tech debt. Support the Japan transformation and adoption of technology and work closely across teams and geographies to identify, map and support implementation of improved process flows and usage of tools.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the increased adoption and leverage of Microsoft products and capabilities across AIG Japan and APAC; identify opportunities to improve colleague efficiency, effectiveness and productivity using these tools
  • Analyze, consolidate and clean data from various sources as needed to support informed and accurate analysis, project / deployment planning and decision making
  • Support project efforts, proper change management; participate in issue and incident analysis and resolution
  • Support efforts to improve and mature IS Japan’s engagement with our IT colleagues, business colleagues and global IS colleagues
  • Build effective collaboration with our IT partners, BU Champions and colleagues as well as across other IS departments to move initiatives forward
  • Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with key stakeholders, project sponsors, and vendors.
  • Work with third party vendors as necessary to manage service delivery methods and oversee processes

Required Skills and Experiences

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience

Specific Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge or hands on professional experience of:

  • Supporting a large user environment with multiple business processes and products, preferably with a focus on process improvement
  • Successful engagement with a geographically diverse set of coworkers and vendor partners for support as needed
  • Strong technical understanding and experience with Microsoft collaboration tools and the Office suite of applications and tools.
  • Understanding of enterprise level endpoint systems including Win10 and Win11 operating systems
  • Comfort dealing with, consolidating and analyzing large, disparate data sets

Total Experience

  • Native/Fluent level written and verbal Japanese
  • Fluent level written and verbal English
  • At least 5 years relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, understand and communicate business needs
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical people
  • Strong desire to continue to learn and become proficient with new technologies, tools and
