Listed Derivatives is DB’s global futures and options business within the Global Markets Division and offers exchange traded derivatives execution, clearing and related services. Listed Derivatives is committed to providing quality derivatives clearing solutions to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.

The Listed Derivatives Operations team in Japan supports all the sub-businesses of the local Listed Derivatives Business line. This team is recognized to have a key role in maintaining and increasing business profitability with its crucial role in providing support for futures and options products. The team provides the onshore oversight for the core processes and tasks related to clearing, margin monitoring, funding & payments inputs, and reconciliation, are carried out by the offshore team in an efficient, controlled, and timely manner.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Clearing management operations – ensuring the timely and accurate end to end clearing flows, statement deliveries to clients, margin payments to exchange and internal affiliates, and other clearing flow management as required.
  • Post trade client services – delivery of high quality service approach to client queries and expectations via proactive, timely and accurate client communications on, but not limited to topics on client statement status, trade related questions such as allocation, close out, PNL, fees and commissions.
  • Change management - Managing short, medium and long term change of system applications and process flows related to Listed Derivatives post trade activity and clearing, by participating in regular review of DB systems, vendor systems, and processes related to LD and Clearing flows.  Devising key requirements for system usage and flows, suggesting development requirements aimed at improved client experience and client service. Proactively drive change by calling out manual process flows and implement streamlined, robust and efficient process, and automation using transformation tools using low code / no code solutions.
  • Control and oversight – ensuring all regulatory reports are completed in accordance with regulatory requirements and all reporting polices are adhered and attested to. Perform breaks management (review and reduce), ensure Key Operating Procedures are updated, proactive review of controls to ensure processes are compliant to internal policies and external regulations. Maintaining daily governance oversight of functions performed in the offshore service centres and participate in weekly/monthly governance meetings.

Your skills and experience:

  • A strong understanding of front to back environment within the Listed Derivatives Product, including regulatory and market initiatives.
  • Strong technical knowledge, and good understanding of Listed Derivatives Markets and Financial Products
  • Experience in supervising various operational functions which may include pre-trade management, trade processing, reconciliations, settlements, client services, and expiration/deliveries.
  • Ability to think strategically, is solution focused and can influence others to work in a similar way.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to work in virtual global teams in a matrix organization.
  • Experience in process and system design analysis, automation/digitization projects.
