In a multidisciplinary and stimulating environment you will cover the mechanical design & configuration of compressors & radial expanders, adapt the products to evolving market of energy transition and succeed in their final definition. The main development areas will be related to Gas Technology, Hydrogen Compression, Energy Storage, Waste Heat Recovery Systems, CCUS (Carbon Capture Use and Storage).

The Senior Design Engineer will actively coordinate and execute the design and development phase of new rotating equipment such as Centrifugal and Axial Compressors, Turboexpanders, Reciprocating Compressors, Innovative Rotating Equipment with a special focus on the product development design phase. 

As a Compressors & Radial Expanders Product Development Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and leading the design, validation and industrialization phase of new products & solutions.
  • Coordinating and executing main thermodynamics calculations, mechanical analysis, cost analysis and drawings in order to technically define the machine.
  • Leading ideas providing relevant effort in structuring conceptual roadmaps to target the goals.
  • Definition of new design tools and validation of new concepts and products.
  • Guiding and executing detailed technical reports and documentation of the design and testing phases.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Master Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering or Equivalent.
  • Have knowledge of mechanical configuration & drawings of machines and related production/assembly/testing phase.
  • Have knowledge of structural analyses involved into the design of a machine and main understanding of mechanical behaviors of materials.
  • Have knowledge of basic thermodynamics and basic aerodynamics of a turbomachinery.
  • Demonstrate good computer skills and be familiar with CAD & FEA techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience in turbomachinery design.
  • Have good verbal and written skills, be fluent in English.
