We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Civil and Structural Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of plants and modularized solutions specifically designed for energy applications. As a Lead Design Engineer, you will execute, oversee and review engineering activities to ensure compliance with codes, standards and customer specifications for all Plant and Modules related projects by working closely with customers, EPC and other multidisciplinary teams. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring seamless collaboration between design and manufacturing functions, ultimately leading to the successful production of high-quality constructions.

As a Lead Engineer, Civil, Product Design and Engineering, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing engineers, mechanical engineers, and structural engineers, to develop detailed design specifications and deliverables for plant and structures construction.
  • Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create accurate 2D and 3D models, engineering drawings, and assembly layouts.
  • Ensuring that the design complies with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
  • Working closely with manufacturing engineers to evaluate the manufacturability and feasibility of design concepts, identifying areas for improvement, cost reduction, or increased efficiency.
  • Conducting design reviews and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance and reliability of construction of plant equipment.
  • Defining/proposing procedures and tool customization for improving structure design standardization with the aim to reduce cost an timing implementing internal standards and knowledge.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to manufacturing engineers during the production process, addressing design-related inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborating with the manufacturing team to develop efficient production methods, optimize assembly processes, and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Creating and maintaining accurate design documentation, including engineering specifications, bills of materials, and design change requests.
  • Collaborating with manufacturing engineers and procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and components required for production.
  • Collaborating with quality control and assurance teams to develop and implement appropriate testing and inspection procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Participating in the analysis of test results and work towards design improvements to address any identified issues.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in the role of Lead Civil and Structural Design Engineer, you will:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Have al least 6 years' experience in Energy/Oil&Gas/Industrial/Sustainable solutions plant Civil and Structural design, preferably in EPC companies.
  • Demonstrate consolidated expertise in application of engineering tools for civil & structures design (ex. SAP2000, Staad, Midas, Ansys, etc.)
  • Have knowledge on both 3D Plant Modelling tools (ex. TEKLA, AVEVA E3D, PDMS) and 2D design tool (i.e. AutoCad)
  • Show leadership skills, including the ability to inspire other.
  • Display excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Be fluent in English.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Be able to work collaboratively with other teams and departments within the organization.
  • Show organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Have knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations, including API, ASME, AISC, ASTM, NTC, AWS, Eurocode and ASCE.
  • Show passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
