Position Summary

The development engineer will be part of a team working on development of the next generation vector editing application in our creative products. The candidate needs to among other things prioritize the Product architecture and leading a team of developers working on novel vector editing capabilities on multiple platforms. The candidate will also be responsible for development of new features and maintenance of existing features and will be responsible for all phases of development, from early specs and definition to release. A large part of the application will be written in C++, objective C++ and Javascript. The candidate needs to be proficient in C++ and be a hands-on problem solver and well conversant in analyzing, architecting and implementing a solution based on them. Additionally, it would be great if you have solid understanding of objective C++ and web technologies like Javascript, HTML and WASM.

Responsibilities

The candidate would contribute extensively in analysis, design and programming for major and dot software releases.
They would be from time to time required to collaborate with product marketing to evaluate and resolve new features to be added.
Should be a proactive self-starter who can develop methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
Provide leadership within the respective division and act as a mentor to engineers.
The candidate should be a specialist on one or more platforms and knowledgeable of cross-platform issues, driven products, and customer requirements. This person will contribute significantly towards the development and application of sophisticated concepts, technologies and expertise within the team.
You will address broad architecture and design issues for future products, offering strategic direction on evaluating new technologies in your expertise.

Requirements

B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from a premier institute.
8 to 12 years of hands on design / development experience.
Proficient in C++, Machine learning and Artificial intelligence. Additionally, experience in web technologies like Html, Css, Javascript would be useful.
Knowledge of application development on multiple platforms including various flavors of Windows and Macintosh.
Should have excellent computer science fundamentals and have understanding of architecture, design and performance.
Understanding of object oriented design and knowledge of product life cycles and associated issues.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, familiar with working in a fast paced global environment.
