Job Description

Role Accountability

The role holder is responsible for providing support and guidance to the business and Sourcing users, to ensure Ariba is used within policy and process.  The successful incumbent will support the implementation and maintenance of the Source-To-Pay (S2P) processes.  

Support the development of the Procurement Operations function, strategic & operational delivery:

  • Support the integration of acquisitions into the global S2P process and systems.
  • Build and implement buying channels in line with the buying channels strategy.
  • Be responsible for managing allocated improvement activities.
  • Support reporting and data analysis initiatives.
  • Support business requesters in their use of the Ariba (S2P) system, providing advice and resolution to queries.
  • Involvement in project work including and outside of sourcing activities.
  • Support Sourcing colleagues in the use of sourcing and contracting technology.
  • Support the deployment of ongoing Ariba enhancements.
  • Assist in facilitating internal Visa Supplier Surveys and score-carding programs to track preferred supplier performance, risk issues, and more.

What we expect of you, day to day:

  • Manage S2P process and workflows in Ariba.
  • Troubleshoot internal customer issues regarding the services provided by the Procurement Shared Services Center.
  • Document the problem and provide appropriate follow up to meet internal customer service levels.
  • Support the delivery of spend analytics and wider CEMEA Sourcing performance reports, e.g. spend, cost savings and objectives vs actuals.
  • Support business requesters in their use of the Ariba (S2P) system, providing advice and resolution to queries.
  • Provide technology support relating to Visa system implementations.
  • Identify and develop plans for process improvement.
  • Liaise with colleagues in the Global Sourcing teams.
  • Support transformational change across the Sourcing function.
  • Work with other stakeholders to embed change successfully across the business.
  • Facilitate audits, assisting both internal and external auditors.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of procurement experience in shared services or centralized procurement operations centre.
  • Experience as a sourcing and/or procurement professional, preferably with a major financial institution or payment card company.
  • Knowledgeable of Procurement policies and procedures and their application to the processing of purchasing transactions (e.g. processing purchase requisitions, processing purchase orders, modifying purchase orders, executing bidding for transactions).
  • Proficiency in purchasing systems and organizational interfaces (SAP Ariba, DocuSign, and Oracle).
  • Deep Source to Contract (S2C) process knowledge.
  • Strong and proven SAP Ariba system experience.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Experience in the delivery of training and composing training documentation.
  • Track record of developing and delivering process improvements.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining stakeholder partnerships.
  • Sound knowledge of business issues and procurement requirements.
  • High level of self-motivation and initiative, and ability to operate as an effective team player.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and putting customer in focus.
  • Understanding of value creation and benefits realisation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Solid understanding of procurement operations best practices.
  • Energy, pace, and a track record of delivery.
  • Professional accreditation in sourcing, procurement or purchasing is a plus.
