1About the position:The Chevron Engineering Standards Engineer is part of the Project Designs Engineering team within the Chevron ENGINE Center and will drive consistent application of Chevron Engineering Standards (CES) across the ENGINE. This role will collaborate across Engineering, Operations, and Projects to ensure that users of Chevron Engineering Standards (CES) understand how and when to apply CES in their day to day work, including basic training on CES and the Technical Code & Standards OE Process.Key responsibilities:
Be the primary resource to help ENGINE engineers understand how and when to apply CES. This would include being the central contact between ENGINE and CES authors in the Chevron Technical Center when questions arise about any particular CES.
Be the primary initial interface with the CTC-based Technical Codes and Standards (TC&S) advisor and be the primary point of contact to assist ENGINE engineers with any required CES deviations.
Solicit feedback from ENGINE engineers about any issues and improvement opportunities with CES. Ensure that feedback is entered into the user comment tool and, when warranted, provide feedback directly to the authors.
Participate in the annual CES workplan update and be the responsible person to track any deadlines for CES content being developed or updated by ENGINE personnel.
Review CES updates and new content and provide feedback to authors.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Facilities engineering experience required.
3-5 years of experience in an operational, maintenance, or engineering support role at an operating industrial facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
5-10 years of experience directly supporting design engineering and engineering deliverable development.
Direct experience with Polarian or a similar database.
Experience in determining useful metadata to facilitate database usage and help users find relevant information.
Experience in review of design deliverables produced by others.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1:30pm to 10:30pm.
