Job Summary

Term Deposits product Manager role responsible for managing Product P & L, B/S growth, Digital enablers, New product development

Key Responsibilities  

Strategy

  • Manage all Fee Income associated with term deposit portfolio
  • Analyse Trends, opportunity and leakage on fee lines and action accordingly
  • Driving digital enhancements for term deposits product – Run it like an independent channel and enhance potential. To scale up this channel exponentially. 
  • Drive maturities, profitability 
  • End to End digital enablers

Business

  • Drive balance sheet growth of 2400 cr
  • Drive income growth 
  • Design and manage ETB & NTB campaigns increase TD penetration across internal and external media platforms
  • Technology: Assist in TD on mobile and enhancement in current journey
  • Develop, launch and manage TD through alternate channels like VRM, Athena etc
  • Publish Term Deposit rates
  • Handle competition Benchmarking for Deposit products
  • New product development

Processes

  • Handle all customer escalations related to term deposits
  • Identify and plug any existing process gaps to ensure smooth functioning – For Deposit Products
  • Digital sales - Establish rigorous management of online lead conversions, including lead flow, lead drop-offs, VKYC completion, and reach out thru central tele callers + acquisition teams.
  • Own and monitor all elements of Deposit products on the Bank’s website – ensure these are constantly updated

Risk Management

  • Own and Mitigate Risk management elements of all associated business and processes
  • Ensure proactive risk analysis and management

Governance

  • Manage all regulatory reportings pertaining to Deposits
  • Represent Product team in  all Audit related issues on Service charges.
  • Manage all regulatory submissions related to service charges

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Skills and Experience

  • Prior work experience in Product development/ P & L manegement would be preferred.
  • Should possess analytical skills, interpersonal skills and demonstrated track record of excellence.
  • Experience in handling Deposit and Asset Products of a Bank would be an advantage but not a pre-requisite.
  • Work Experience across multiple geographies will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication and persuasive skills, along with the ability to work across silos, functions and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong inter-personal skills, which encourages and promotes enthusiasm and team spirit.
