About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems Operations Engineer

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high level systems consultation for the technology teams
  • Work as key participant in large scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for Systems Operations functional area
  • Review and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systems
  • Make decisions on technical changes and enhancements
  • Consult with engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in Unix /Linux Server Support domain.
  • OpenShift / Cloud certification
  • Experience with DevOps tools like Harness, Ansible is an added advantage. Exposure to Tableau or similar BI tools is also good to have.
  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in production support & SRE implementation in a large-scale environment (preferably in banking domain.
  • Hands on experience in web & middleware platform (Apache, tomcat, WebLogic, PCF etc.) in Linux/windows environments.
  • Hands on experience in supporting PCF applications and microservice architecture-based applications.
  • Hands on experience with monitoring/log analysis/dashboard tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Elastic Search, Netcool, PowerBI, Tableau etc.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting, ansible and one programming language such as python or JavaScript.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies, and systems.
  • Demonstrate strong written, oral communication skills, documentation skills and able to work independently.
  • Self-learner, understand technology environment and deliver faster.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, hands-on approach, strong system and analytical skills with focus on streamlining the operational tasks using automation.
  • Willing to work in shifts (24x7 models).
