Job Description:

Job Title- Business Functional Analyst

Location- Bangalore, India

Role Description:

The individual will be working as senior business analyst on big scale migration projects in TAS domain. The individual will understand the existing business process by interacting with operations and business users and translate those discussions to business requirements and functional specifications. The individual will closely work with developers and testers in explaining the business use cases and oversee the development is as per the specification provided.  

The individual will be acting as point of contact for the global stakeholders on the project updates and progress.

Your key responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Identify, document, and analyze business requirements to understand needs and problems.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions to improve workflows and outcomes.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate communication between stakeholders (business users, IT teams, and developers) to ensure alignment and understanding.
  • Problem Solving and Critical Thinking: Identify root causes of problems and develop effective solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decision-making.
  • Functional Specifications: Create detailed functional specifications for IT solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements.
  • Testing and Validation: Participate in testing and validating IT solutions to ensure they meet business objectives and requirements.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and processes.
  • Business Process Modeling: Model business processes to visualize workflows and identify areas for improvement.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks associated with new IT solutions and processes.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are crucial for effective collaboration and stakeholder management.

Your skills and experience

  • 12 to 15 years of experience as Business analyst working in Investment banking domain.
  • Experience in Debt products (ECP, MTN, EURO bonds) processing and who has worked extensively in trust and agency transaction processing domain involving ICSD's, paying agents, cash correspondent banks.
  • Individual who has independently worked as business analyst on big migration projects from legacy platform to new platforms migration
  • The individual must be proficient in water fall and agile project life cycle and experience in using JIRA.
  • The individual who has SQL experience in gathering and analyzing the data for migration.
