About the position:The Technology Lead is part of the Technical Services organization within the Chevron ENGINE center and will help advance the development and adoption of digital technologies and solutions across Chevron.   This role leads a team that partners with the Operations, Facilities Engineering, and Digital teams to prioritize and deliver critical technology and digital tools to help improve asset performance.   The Technology Lead plays a key role in collaborating with the Facilities Design & Solutions (FD&S), Asset Performance and Process Safety (APPS), and IT functions as well as Surface Digital Platform, and Smart Engineering Product Line to ensure alignment on business needs.Key responsibilities:• Manage the performance of the team by establishing clear goals and expectations, measuring progress and sharing results across Chevron ENGINE and with stakeholders across the enterprise.• Provides coaching, performance feedback, mentoring, career development and regularly engages team to help remove barriers for the team.• Partner with BUs to understand the significant business gaps or opportunities in facilities operations, engineering, and maintenance.• Seek to understand capabilities of mature as well emerging traditional engineering as well as digital technologies and how, where, and when these should be applied at BU facilities.• Guide team with development of business cases, functionality needed, detailed implementation/execution (including change management) of technologies within remit.• Understand and streamline the workflows for technology, digital, and data development and deployment, qualification, and continuous improvement/sustenance.• Oversee digital solution framing, prioritization, backlog management, and digital solution development and deployment execution• Works closely with FD&S and APPS engineering departments to develop standards that improve engineering.• Ensures alignment of future digital capabilities and legacy Operational Technology (OT) and IT systems and applications with enterprise business strategies.• Provides engineering support and knowledge in the advancement of digital development in partnership with Surface Digital Platform and other stakeholders.• Engages stakeholders on product development and integration to ensure that BU and enterprise objectives are met.• Engage with business unit representatives to align solution capabilities to use cases.  • Coaching others within ENGINE on digital capabilities and agile practices.Required Qualifications:• Engineering degree in one of the following - Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics,  Mechatronics (B.E./B.Tech.)  from a recognized (AICTE) university• Knowledge in OT and IT business systems, digital capabilities and petrotech work processes for optimization.Preferred Qualifications:• 15-20 years of industry experience, with a minimum of 10+ years of experience working in Oil and Gas operating environment• Experience with OT and IT digital tools, systems, and data used for optimization (examples: SEEQ, HYSYS, SmartSignal, CPRT).• A strong understanding of field operations and maintenance workflows and operating business segments is also a key requirement.• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams in varying producing environments, delivering technology and/or digital solutions & advanced analytical solutions• Working knowledge of OT and IT business processes & systems, including Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT).Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1:30pm to 10:30pm.
