Location: Bengaluru - Manyata Tech ParkBusiness & Team: Technology Team is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service. CommBank is recognized as leading the industry in IT (Information Technology) and operations with its world-class platforms and processes, agile IT infrastructure, and innovation in everything from payments to internet banking and mobile apps. The Chief Data Analytics Office (CDAO) provides specialized data services and platforms for the CommBank group and is accountable for developing Group’s data strategy, data policy and standards, governance and set requirements for data enablers/ tools. The team is also accountable to facilitate a community of practitioners to share best practice and build data talent and capabilities.Impact & Contribution: To ensure the Group achieves sustainable competitive advantage through data & analytics, you will need to play a key role in supporting the CDO in executing to the Groups AI strategy. You will utilize cutting-edge technologies to solve our customers' hardest business centric problems. One of your key responsibilities will be on the forefront of emerging technology in AI space and driving E2E AI use cases in R&D style of development. This will include sound knowledge of the Groups data strategy, architecture and technology roadmap, aligning business needs and ensuring appropriate service levels of the CDO technology services. You will adopt tools and templates used across CDO that underpin our data and analytics capabilities for the Group projects.Roles & Responsibilities: As a Senior Platform Engineer You will be expected to perform the following tasks and responsibilities in a manner consistent with CBA's Values and People Capabilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure and systems necessary for AI/ML use cases including model deployment/monitoring/orchestration.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML use cases to ensure efficient and automated model deployment.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to build robust ML pipelines that can handle large datasets and traffic.
  • Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to track model performance, data drift, and system health.
  • Maintain security adherence and compliance standards, including data privacy and model explainability.
  • Ensure clear and comprehensive documentation of AI/ML processes, infrastructure, along with configurations.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and DevOps, to ensure smooth model deployment and operations.
  • Drive E2E AI use cases in R&D style of development.
  • Operate within the CBA Group risk appetite and effectively manage strategic and operational risk related to data
  • Adhere to our Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct sets the standards of behavior, actions and decisions we expect from our people. Agreements, SLOs (Service Level Objectives) and financial targets and results (Service Delivery Components) are achievable and adequate.
  • Involvement in any audits of the services within your control and managing any subsequent follow-up activities.

Essential Skills:

  • 7-10 years of experience in IT Industry
  • Strong Experience in Python, Shell Scripting; in building & packaging enterprise ready AI applications into Docker containers
  • Strong experience in CI/CD tools (e.g Git/GitHub, TeamCity, Artifactory, Octopus, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Experience in automating repetitive tasks using Ansible, Terraform, AWS
  • Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement within the team and in delivery of products.
  • Help to promote good coding standards and practices to ensure high quality.
  • Understanding of MLOps practices for continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring of ML models with basic understanding of database concepts, SQL
  • Domain experience in finance, banking, Insurance
  • Good understanding of AI/ML concepts and GenAI foundations
  • Experience in Development (Coding, Testing)

Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
