The Contract Manager under the OFSED Vendor Management Office (VMO) is responsible for overseeing the entire contract lifecycle with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies, mitigating risks, and optimizing vendor performance. This role requires strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of contract management best practices, and the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive value from vendor relationships.

The ideal candidate should have experience in sourcing and managing contracts related to software licensing and contingent workforce solutions, ensuring alignment with Oilfield Services Digital organization needs and industry standards.

As a Senior Manager- VMO, you will be responsible for

  • Assisting the business with the end-to-end contract processes, including negotiation, execution, amendments, and renewals
  • Monitoring vendor performance against contractual obligations and service level agreements
  • Maintaining an organized contract repository and ensure timely renewals and obligations tracking.
  • Identifying and mitigating contractual risks, including financial, operational, and reputational risks.
  • Ensuring contracts align with business objectives, compliance requirements, and risk management strategies.
  • Working with sourcing, legal, procurement, and compliance teams to ensure vendor governance best practices
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and negotiating cost-effective solutions with vendors
  • Analyzing vendor spend and implementing strategies to optimize financial outcomes.
  • Developing and implementing vendor performance scorecards and key performance indicators.
  • Partnering with internal departments such as procurement, finance, legal, IT, and operations to align contract management with business needs

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have Bachelor’s degree in business management, Law, Finance, Supply Chain or related filed, from an accredited university or college
  • Have strong experience in digital contracts- vendor contracts and software licensing
  • Have Strong understanding of contract law, negotiation strategies, and risk management principles – mandatory
  • Have 5+ years of experience in contract management, vendor management, or procurement within a VMO function
  • Preferred to have experience in managing contracts within industries such as energy, technology, or manufacturing
  • Preferred to have Certification in contract management (e.g., Certified Commercial Contract Manager - CCCM, or equivalent)
