About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Management Analyst

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in less complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps
  • Adhere to data governance standards and procedures
  • Identify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
  • Design and monitor data governance, data quality and metadata policies, standards, tools, processes, or procedures to ensure data control and remediation for companywide data management functions
  • Support communications with basic documentation related to requirements, design decisions, issue closure, or remediation updates
  • Support issue remediation by performing medium risk data profiling, data or business analysis, and data mapping as part of root cause or impact analysis
  • Provide support to regulatory analysis and reporting requirements
  • Recommend plans for the development and implementation of initiatives that assess the quality of new data sources
  • Work with business and technology partners or subject matter professionals to document or maintain business or technical metadata about systems, business or data elements, or data-related controls
  • Consult with clients to assess the current state of data quality within area of assigned responsibility

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Conduct data quality analysis and remediation, focusing on DQ rules and compliance with regulatory reporting requirements like FR Y14, 2052a, BSA/AML, etc.
  • Utilize SQL for data querying, manipulation, and analysis to ensure data accuracy and quality.
  • Develop and implement data quality rules and strategies to maintain high-quality data standards in commercial banking operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data quality issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Communicate effectively and draft detailed summary/reports for the internal stakeholders.
  • Create visually compelling reports and dashboards using Power BI for regulatory reporting and stakeholder communication.
  • Overall 6+ years of experience in Commercial Banking & Lending loans processing

  • Expertise in SQL: Profound knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL for complex database queries and data manipulation, analysis, and DQ rules implementation.
  • Experience with extensive data analysis/ review and mapping /transforming data for regulatory reporting schedules like FRY 14 Q – Schedule H1/H2.
  • Champion a comprehensive data quality framework to ensure high standards of data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across all data systems and processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail with ability to draw conclusions and translate findings
  • Advanced Proficiency Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Conduct DQ Rues Observations Review Meeting with ABOs, TMs and SMEs for dispositioning the observations.
  • Knowledge of Wells Fargo Commercial Banking applications/SORs (iHub, WCDIR, WCIS, LIQ, AIMS, AFS, Lucas, Choice, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Commercial Banking, data quality analysis, and regulatory reporting, including FR Y14.
  • Experience with other regulatory reporting frameworks and compliance practices.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for data quality management and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience with data quality analysis and remediation techniques in a regulatory environment
  • Understanding of loan life cycle such as loan origination, underwriting, portfolio management, collateral management, loan accounting servicing.
  • Good understanding and experience working on Data Analytics automation, Data preparation capabilities, Automated workflows, Data Visualization, Data Investigating Cleansing & Reporting, Comparison, etc.
  • Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills for effective stakeholder engagement and regulatory reporting.
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidelines to data quality processes in commercial banking.
  • Regulatory compliance: Understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements to ensure data controls meet legal standards.
  • Experience in various Analytics methodologies and platforms
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
  • Possesses executive presence, high energy, ability to manage complexity and a broad scope of daily work activities and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of experience with data related tools: ADMF, Ab Initio, Alteryx Alteryx Designer Expert and/or Alteryx Predictive Master, Tableau, PowerBI, JIRA
  • Ability to grasp complex business issues quickly, recommend solutions, and drive for resolutions
