About You
We seek a highly skilled and strategic ERP Process Transformation Engineering Manager to define & lead comprehensive finance transformation initiatives across the organization. This role will cover key business functions such as Finance (FinanceOps, Procurement, FP&A, Pricing), Legal, and Risk, and processes like invoice to cash, bill to pay, and record to report. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in ERP (NetSuite or similar) and process transformation, coupled with a proven track record of leading teams to execute cross-functional integration, process optimization, and automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and People Management:
Manage and mentor a team of 4-5 ERP techno-functional consultants and 4-5 enterprise automation/integration engineers, providing guidance, performance feedback, and career development.
Develop team capabilities, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment where continuous learning and improvement are prioritized.
Define team roles, establish goals, and ensure efficient execution of key projects while maintaining alignment with organizational objectives.
Cross-Functional Transformation:
Spearhead the transformation of core finance business processes, driving efficiency and operational excellence across functions.
Identify, prioritize, and lead initiatives that enhance cross-departmental integration and ensure business processes are future-ready.
ERP & Integration/Automation Strategy:
Lead the development and execution of ERP strategies to support seamless integration across business functions (e.g., accounting, ledger, procurement, billing, revenue recognition).
Utilize enterprise integration tools (API, ETL, middleware) to enable reliable data flow between systems.
Oversee system integration and ensure alignment of financial systems with compliance, governance, and audit requirements.
Process Optimization:
Analyze, design, and optimize key processes such as:
P2P (Procure to Pay): Vendor management, procurement, invoice processing, and payments.
O2C (Order to Cash): Sales order processing, billing, collections, and revenue recognition.
Risk & Compliance: Ensure process adherence to regulatory and compliance standards across legal, finance, and risk functions.
System Integration:
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure ERP and other finance enterprise functions (e.g., accounting, ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition) are fully integrated, allowing for seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
Lead the integration of systems through API, ETL, and middleware technologies, ensuring a consistent and reliable flow of financial data.
Automation & Innovation:
Leverage automation technologies (e.g., RPA, AI) and innovative tools to drive process improvements across departments, focusing on scalability and efficiency.
Champion the adoption of cutting-edge automation solutions such as UiPath, Blue Prism, or similar technologies to enhance financial and operational workflows.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner with senior leaders across functions to understand business challenges, prioritize transformation initiatives, and deliver measurable outcomes.
Communicate technical solutions effectively to stakeholders, presenting the business case and demonstrating the ROI for each transformation initiative.
Change Management:
Lead change management efforts to ensure the smooth adoption of new systems and processes across business units, providing training, communication, and support as needed.
Create change management frameworks and user adoption strategies tailored to finance transformation projects.
Governance & Compliance:
Ensure that all system and process changes meet the organization’s governance, audit, and compliance requirements.
Establish and maintain strong compliance processes for enterprise systems in alignment with regulatory standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education:
Engineering Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. MBA or equivalent experience is preferred.
Experience:
10-12 years of experience in ERP systems implementation, process transformation, and finance automation, with at least 5 years in people management.
2+ years of experience in leading and managing engineering teams.
Proven experience managing and leading cross-functional teams, with a demonstrated ability to align team efforts with organizational goals.
Strong understanding of P2P, O2C, Record to Report (R2R), and other critical finance business processes.
Extensive experience with ERP platforms such as NetSuite or similar, focusing on both techno-functional and process transformation aspects.
Hands-on experience in backend or full-stack development, with strong proficiency in languages like JavaScript (Node.js), Ruby, or Java.
Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience with serverless, distributed, event-driven architectures.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency with NetSuite (or equivalent ERP systems) and integration tools (e.g., Workato, MuleSoft).
In-depth knowledge of system integration methodologies (API, ETL, middleware) and automation technologies (e.g., RPA, AI).
Experience leading initiatives using automation tools like UiPath, Blue Prism, or similar.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SOAP-based services, and ETL tools for integrating enterprise systems.
Proficiency in architecture patterns including microservices, ESB, and event-driven design and data modeling for both relational and NoSQL databases.
Leadership & Soft Skills:
Proven leadership and people management skills, with a focus on building high-performing teams and developing individual talent.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to lead change management efforts, including training, user adoption, and communication plans.
Analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to align technology with business goals and priorities.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks across finance, legal, and risk functions (e.g., SOX, GDPR, IFRS).
Knowledge of business intelligence tools and data analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
