The Role

Mainframe Operations Representative at Kyndryl are key in helping revolutionize the way we operate complex computer systems. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, supervise and control intricate networks and applications, and operate distributed systems in a multi-vendor environment.  As a Mainframe Operations Representative you will be on the technical frontline – performing batch operations as per service agreements, analyzing first-level issues across systems, and resolving/routing issues as appropriate. You will also have the opportunity to develop support system management processes specific to customer requirements, ensuring that we provide the highest level of service to our customers.If you have a passion for technology and a desire to continually improve your skills – this is the position for you. Required Technical and Professional Experience 

  • Knowledge in Mainframe Operations or 1 - 2 years in mainframe operations.

  • Freshers with Mainframe certification can be considered.

  • Willing to work in Nights shifts and Rotational Shifts ( 24 /7 Shifts ).

  • Willing to work from office.

  • Manage production operating system resource availability

  • Monitor production operating system, and devices

  • Perform root cause analysis, resolution and / or escalation for production systems (this does not include business applications)

  • Execute recovery procedures for production operating systems and devices 

  • Monitor scheduled batch jobs

  • Resolve batch scheduling conflicts (non-application) (root cause analysis and change management) 

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience• Check each system for outstanding messages and or batch abends on a regular basis.• Scan batch output to find actual cause of failure.•Able Identify task or issues that can be improved and send ticket to correct team.• Able to determine quickly the severity of a problem and make appropriate escalations.• Ability to communicate effectively and consistently
