Job Summary:
The Technical Solution Train Engineer (STE) is responsible for orchestrating the execution of large-scale Agile initiatives across multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and Value Streams. Acting as a servant leader and coach, the STE ensures seamless coordination, integration, and delivery of complex technical solutions while driving continuous improvement in engineering best practices, automation, and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Execution & Delivery:
- Facilitate and optimize the flow of value across Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and Value Streams.
- Ensure seamless coordination across teams, resolving dependencies and aligning priorities.
- Support Program Increment (PI) Planning and execution, tracking progress and identifying risks.
Technical Enablement & Architecture Alignment:
- Collaborate with System Architects and Engineering teams to ensure technical alignment with business objectives.
- Drive adoption of DevSecOps, CI/CD, and automation best practices for efficient and scalable delivery.
- Ensure integration and interoperability across multiple platforms and services.
Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Act as a liaison between engineering, product management, and business stakeholders to align goals and expectations.
- Provide transparency on delivery progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate regular sync-ups, solution demos, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
Process Improvement & Innovation:
- Identify and implement improvements in Agile delivery frameworks, engineering processes, and tooling.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across teams.
- Support the adoption of emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance solution delivery.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
- Experience: 8+ years in software engineering, Agile delivery, or technical program management.
- Strong expertise in Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and Lean-Agile principles.
- Hands-on experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and automation tools.
- Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration in a complex technical environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- SAFe Solution Train Engineer (STE) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification.
- Experience managing large-scale, enterprise-wide Agile transformations.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, API management, and system integration patterns.
