Lead Mechanical Engineer

You can be a major part of this journey.Partner with the bestAs Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing according to Company Best Practices and International Standards.
  • Modeling Systems 3D arrangement based on application and environmental conditions.
  • Optimizing Systems for performance and cost-effectiveness in collaboration with the Sourcing department.
  • Being the main interface point with Customers and Application Engineering.
  • Being responsible for performing basic & front-end design managing external Engineering suppliers, too.
  • Supporting vendors during procurement and Field Service Engineers during equipment installation.
  • Contribute to R&D initiatives

Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a BE/BTech OR ME/MTech from an accredited university in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Have strong experience in working on Gas turbine inlet ducting (Air, Filter House for air filtration), GT enclosure Ventilation design, including Ventilation Fan requirements, Steel structural design of Filter House and Ventilation ducts, familiarization of noise control techniques (like Silencer), GT exhaust ducting, and Expansion joint requirements.
  • Experience in Preparation of Material Requisitions for Vendor scope of supply, Involvement in Technical Alignments, Vendor Selection, Meeting Customer requirements and On Time Delivery for Documents in Good Quality
  • Interactions with other Discipline Engineers, Project Management, Sourcing, etc.
  • Solid foundation on Fluid dynamics.
  • Expertise in performing CFD is preferred.
  • Have proven experience in Mechanical Design engineering for components and support structures mentioned above
  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.
  • Be familiar with Unigraphics and AutoCAD
  • Be familiar with International Codes as Eurocode, AISC, ASCE7, etc.
