1About this position:
This position supports technology development and expert consulting for all types of artificial lift design and troubleshooting (ESP, gas lift, plunger lift, PCP, and rod pump), well performance optimization, problem well analysis, liquid unloading, Well Integrity and general production engineering. Responsible for providing on demand technical services directly to MCPs and BU asset teams and supporting projects focused on improving the reliability and performance of wells in general. Responsibilities may also include full or part-time participation in subsurface platform activities as Product Owner, Product Line Mgr., etc. as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Analysis and evaluation of Artificial Lift related topics such as design, optimization and troubleshooting as direct support to a BU or as a team member with other SMEs
Support to BU in Well Integrity related issues and specifically around Casing Pressure Management, Subsurface safety valves, WellHead valves and well completion
Teaming with other disciplines and BU partners, responsibilities may include participation in Production Engineering activities
Promotes the use of the WRO Technical Standard
Provide consulting and on demand support in production optimization and well performance
Supports base business activities in business units
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, MSc in Petroleum Engineering is a plus
Domain expertise in general Production Engineering
Experience in Artificial Lift design, optimization and troubleshooting.
Proven experience in Well Integrity Management
Demonstrated experience in Well Failure reviews and analysis
Familiarity with PETEX IPM or any other Nodal Analysis software
Experience in production analysis and optimization workflows
Preferred Qualifications:
Broad experience in data analytics and analysis is strongly desired
Proficient use and understanding of PETEX IPM
Expertise in Data Sciences, including the development and application of machine learning algorithms, to predict AL and well failures, and improve decision-making processes
Applied skills in petroleum engineering concepts. Familiar with surveillance, analysis, and optimization (SA&O). Capable of planning, implementing, and analyzing surveillance programs
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
